JAMB Introduces SIM Swap and Email Change Service for Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has introduced a new service for candidates who no longer have access to the phone number or email address linked to their JAMB profile.

The SIM Swap/eMail Change Service began on Monday, September 21, 2026. It allows affected candidates to update their registered GSM number, email address, or both, after completing JAMB’s verification process.

This update will be helpful for candidates who cannot receive important JAMB messages, log in to their profile, or access services because they lost their SIM card or no longer use the email address initially registered.

How to Change Your JAMB Phone Number or Email Address

Candidates who need to use the service should follow these steps:

1. Log in to the JAMB e-Facility portal with your Registration Number or Profile Code.
2. Select “SIM Swap/eMail Change Payment” and pay the required fee.
3. Visit an approved JAMB CBT Centre, PTC/PRC Centre, or a JAMB State Office where applicable.
4. Open the SIM Swap/eMail Change Quicklink.
5. Enter your Profile Code or current GSM number, then select “Fetch Details.”
6. Complete the biometric verification.
7. Choose whether you want to change your GSM number, email address, or both.
8. Enter your new phone number and/or email address.
9. Upload a scanned copy of a properly executed Court Affidavit.
10. Click “Update.” You will see a confirmation message once the update is successful.

Important Things to Know

• You can use this service only once. Make sure the new phone number and email address are correct before submitting your request.
• The process must be done only at approved JAMB CBT Centres, PTC/PRC Centres, or JAMB State Offices where applicable.
• Do not pay or give your details to unauthorised agents, cybercafes, or anyone claiming they can do the change outside the official process.
• Keep your new SIM card active and ensure that you can access the new email address before making the update.

The new service should make it easier for candidates to regain access to their JAMB profile and other important admission-related services.
